How Libra Rating works

Everything you need to understand the ladder - and how to climb it yourself.

What is ELO?

Judge-based tier testing is fundamentally flawed: it's a snapshot of a single fight, heavily skewed by the subjective opinion of a human tester. Libra Rating is built for the opposite approach. Instead of MCTIERS/PVPCLUB-style manual evaluation, your ELO is calculated from automated ranked duels and keeps evolving with every match you play.

You gain rating for winning and lose it for losing. The system accounts for the rating gap - taking down a top-tier player rewards you significantly, while losing to a lower-rated opponent costs more. It's fair, measurable, and reflects your actual performance over time.

One rating, every kit

Real Minecraft PvP skill isn't about memorizing the timings of a single mode. It's about total adaptability. That's why Libra uses one unified ELO across all kits.

In our ranked matchmaking, players go through a draft phase, banning modes until one remains. Whether the final duel is Crystal, UHC, Sword, or Vanilla, you have to be ready. That's what this single number actually represents: your overall mastery of the game, no matter what it throws at you.

Tiers & colours

Your ELO places you in a tier. Every 5,000 points unlocks a new tier with its own colour - the same colours you see on the leaderboard and in-game. The minimum rating is 1,000, and there is no maximum ceiling.

How do I rank up?

Your journey begins with 3 calibration matches to determine your starting ground. After that, queue for ranked duels in-game and win.

Consistency beats streaks. Your rating is a reflection of your performance over a long period, proving your skill across multiple opponents and modes, not just a single lucky run.

Where's my profile?

No logins, no account linking. Just type your Minecraft name into the search bar at the top to open your profile.

Every profile tracks your current rank, best ELO, win/loss ratio, and your last 10 matches. You can even click on an opponent's name in your match history to instantly view their stats.
